We had decided that we weren't going to do Disneyland until next year when everyone was just a little bit bigger, but instead we went to Knott's Berry Farm. Talia kept calling it the fairy farm. Ha! It was SUCH a fun day. I have so many great memories of Knott's since we had passes there when I was a kid and it was so much fun going on all the rides I remember with my kids. This trip was especially fun because Weston was tall enough to go on a lot of the big rides. It was also extra fun because Grandma B took the day off work and went with us! It's always nice to have an extra adult along for the fun with so many kids. :)
The little ones loved Camp Snoopy. Even Talia was tall enough to go on all the rides with an adult. The only ride she didn't like was the Timberline Twister roller coaster. It was a little jerky and I think she hit her head. She had been especially asking to go on the Ferris wheel before we even got there, so that was a fun one for her. Beckett probably liked the hot air balloons the best, but he wouldn't smile at all. Just stared around looking sullen. He screamed when I took him off of it though, so clearly he enjoyed the ride. He was like that with most of the rides. We did Camp Snoopy all morning (with Ian and Weston sneaking off to do the Sidewinder a couple of times).

Then we walked over to Fiesta Village and I took Weston on Jaguar while everyone else did the carousel (Talia's other main request). They went on it twice. Davin is so funny about carousels and almost always chooses to sit on a bench instead of a horse or animal. I don't know if he gets scared when the animal moves or if it hurts him to sit on them, but I think it's cute that he does his own thing.
Ian took Weston on Jaguar again and they waited a little longer to ride in the very front. While they did that Grandma took Tal and Dav on the Mexican hats. Talia only liked it if she could snuggle up on Grandma's lap. While they did that ride I finally got Beckett to fall asleep in the stroller. Poor baby was SO tired! We took a little rest in the shade and let Beckett snooze and Tal and Dav play on our phones while Ian, Weston and I did the dragon swing. Weston liked that a lot and wanted to go on again right away. Luckily it really wasn't crowded at all, so there were only short lines.
It was getting to be lunch time, but we decided to do the log ride before we found a place to eat, so Grandma walked around with Beckett while the rest of us did the log ride. Talia is still talking about it, but she didn't love it. After the first drop in the dark she was scared and she cried after the big drop at the end. Weston, on the other hand, LOVED it. I think by the end of the day he had ridden it 7 times. Anyway, it was fun to go on something all together like that. :)
We got lunch from a stand in the Old West and ate outside at picnic tables. We were all getting kind of hot and tired and hangry, so it was a good time to stop. Everyone ate their lunch and sat and by the time we were done we were all ready to keep going. Next stop was the stagecoach ride. It was pretty fun to sit on top and get to see around the park. Then we got dippin' dots and let Beckett wander for a little bit. After ice cream Ian took the three little ones back to Camp Snoopy while Grandma, Weston and I went back to the log ride. There wasn't much of a line so we went on it twice. Knott's is pretty stingy with their ride photos, so we decided to recreate our scared faces from the big drop. Haha.
We met up with Ian and the kids at Camp Snoopy and rode a few more rides there. The little ones were done. It got up to about 90 degrees that day, so around 4pm Mom and I took Davin, Talia, and Beckett home. Ian and Weston stayed to keep going on bigger rides. As soon as the kids were settled in with a movie at Grandma and Grandpa's house I headed back to Knott's. I went back in and went on rides with Ian and Weston until it closed.
Ian had spoiled Weston while they were along with his own bag of cotton candy. They also went on the water ride a few times and were pretty wet when I found them. We all went on the pony express twice. Then Ian and I went on the silver bullet ride and I felt like such an old lady when I got off. I was so dizzy! After that I was pretty much done with big roller coasters so Ian went on some of the other big ones by himself while Weston and I did the log ride a couple more times. Then Ian found us and we went on the swings, the dragon swing, jaguar, and coast rider. The park had pretty much emptied out by then so we were just walking on the rides. It was great.
At the very end I let Weston do whatever he wanted (he chose Camp Snoopy rides) while Ian rode silver bullet again. Then we trekked home with a quick dinner stop at Taco Bell. Weston likes their Doritos locos tacos. It was such a fun day and pretty great to hang out with our big kid. I couldn't believe that Davin was still awake when we got home! The boys decided to sleep inside that night. I think they were just really tired and wanted to be more comfortable, so they set up their sleeping bags in the music room. Ian and I sat in the spa for awhile to unwind. It felt good after a long, hot day of walking. I'm so glad we decided to do Knott's. It was such a blast!
