Talia turned four this December! She was so excited about her birthday and I don't think she was disappointed. In the morning she got to open her presents at home. She got lots of fun toys, new watercolor paints, and her very own blue squishy pillow. She chose to get a haircut for her birthday, so that morning she and Beck both got haircuts. After hair we went to McDonald's for lunch. Talia even ate some of her food!
We decided to throw her her first friend birthday party this year. So after naps we started in with party prep. She had a long list of friends she wanted to invite and I still think we missed a few. She had no requests for a theme except for blue, so I chose a blue pajama party. The theme made it fun. The kids all came in their jammies and brought a favorite lovey. We had her party on her actual birthday, which was a Friday. It was a pretty crazy two hours, but it went really well. Lots of her friends came. When they got there we had them get a plate of food and then sit on blankets in the living room to eat while they watched a Doc McStuffins. It was eerily quiet while they were all eating and watching the show.
After food they played in the basement a little bit and worked on their craft. Each kid decorated a paper plate glued to a popsicle stick (aka a balloon bopper). We played "keep the balloons off the floor with your balloon bopper" for awhile. It was probably the kids' favorite part.
Next up was a game where all the kids' loveys were put in a pile and they had to take turns picking out their lovey while blindfolded. This was a little tricky. Not that kids couldn't pick out their lovey just that they were impatient when waiting for their turn. It was fine though. We finished up with presents and then cake. We turned on another Doc McStuffins while the kids ate their cake in the living room. When they were done eating they played in the basement while we waited for parents. Success!
Happy Happy 4th Birthday to our girl Talia!

she is adorable! and you are super brave to have that many 4 year olds in your house at one time! Looks like lots of parents stayed to help out, though, so I'm sure it was fine. Were you ready for a nap when it was over? :)
