May (the second half)

In the middle of May we got to spend a day babysitting baby Wilson! It was so fun to have him around. He's such a sweet little dude. Talia was all about being "in charge" of the babies.
Weston had 3rd grade business day. His booth was a back scratching/back rub thing. He took white Christmas lights to make it more fancy. He said it was very successful and he earned enough money to buy a whole bunch of other stuff, like candy and treats and this ginormous lion. Beckett claimed it as soon as he saw it. Weston is a good sport but has to hide it on his top bunk so that Beckett doesn't sleep with it. :)
Weston and Davin both had their well child checkups this month. Earlier in the day at school Davin got an award for making it into the 100 mile club! He was SO excited. He worked really hard running at almost every recess to get enough miles to qualify. He got a certificate and a medal. I'm so proud of him! He set the goal to get to the 100 mile club and he got there! Also, both boys are healthy and growing and doing great. (PS-these pics were taken on the same day, but Dav got a hair cut after the doctor)
School got out on May 29th. During the last week there was the school dance festival. Both boys did awesome performing their dances with their grade. Davin was waaay in the back, so I could barely see him. Had a decent view of Weston. It was chilly and damp that morning. We had a very rainy May, but luckily the rain held off until after the performances. Tal and Beck got to high five the fox mascot on our way out.
One night, while Talia was at a birthday party we went out with the boys. We ate at JCW's then Weston and I went to Scheel's to pick up a Father's Day present for Ian and ride the ferris wheel. It was a fun little outing with my big kid. I get nervous at the top of the ferris wheel, but Weston was very nice and didn't move our seat.
I also got to take Davin to his teacher's wedding. She married another teacher from Fox Hollow. Davin really wanted to go to her wedding and they were so sweet to invite all their students. We gave Miss Johnson hugs and stayed to watch them cut the cake and have their first dance.
So much fun stuff at school! I volunteered at Field Day and had fun seeing Weston and all the neighbor kids his age and helping them play a couple of relay games. I snuck a hug with Davin at field day too but didn't get to watch him. The rain barely held off until the end. By the time I was bringing the cones and stuff back inside it was pouring. We had storms almost daily all throughout May. It was kind of crazy. The last week of school we got the biggest hail storm I have ever seen! I'm grateful though because we got enough rain that our water restrictions were partially lifted for the summer.
Finally it was the last day! They gave their cute teachers a gift and had fun saying goodbye to their friends. Happy last day of school 2015!
The last day of school is really short. The kids only go for about two hours. Ian took a half day off that Friday and we headed up to Payson canyon to go on a hike before going to the ward campout. We hiked The Grotto trail. It was a short, but really fun hike. There were log bridges to cross and a beautiful waterfall surrounded by rocks at the end. It was an awesome hike. We loved it!
The ward campout that night was also fun. We played with friends, blew bubbles, played volleyball, did a nature scavenger hunt and made smores. The kids all slept great in the tent. The next morning we had breakfast and broke camp.
We headed home just in time to unpack and get ready for Weston's last soccer game and the end of the year party, which I was in charge of. Weston had a fun year playing soccer. We had a pizza party at a park near the soccer field. The kids got medals and we gave the coach a gift. It went really well. I'm glad we did it. It ended the year on a good note. Weston is all registered to play soccer again next year with the same coach!
Finally a few cute cozy moments. Beckett came and played with me in bed one morning. He was being really cute and funny. There's a long video of it. He sure loves his blankie! This picture of Talia was one afternoon when she was playing with some leftover plastic eggs from Easter. She had put the two halves in her shirt like boobs. She came up to me and asked me if I could see what she did. She had this mischeivious look in her eyes. It was all I could do to not bust up laughing when I saw. I'm in big trouble with this girl when she's a tweenager!
May was a crazy, busy, very fun and rainy month. I'm kind of glad that it's over!
