We went to the Wilk and had lunch at the cougareat and then wandered the bookstore and bought a t-shirt and a mini BYU basketball for Weston and some BYU fudge for me (yummy). We had a little bit of time to kill and the weather was less than ideal yesterday, so Weston played with his basketball in a big open area in the Wilk for a little while. After that we popped in on my Aunt Pam who works for the Engineering Dept. We visited for a little bit and I borrowed her office to nurse Davin.
Next we drove over to Aunt Pam's house to visit with a couple of my cousins, Kim and Kathryn. We had a nice time. We were pushing naptime for Weston by then, but he was still being surprisingly good. After our chatty visit we headed over to my friend, Lisa's apartment. Weston was super tired by then and not coping all that well. A few minutes after we got to Lisa's I layed him down on her bed for a little nap, but he only got about 30 minutes and woke up cranky. Oh well. It was so fun to catch up and talk with old friends. Alexis was in town to defend her thesis, so she was there with her new baby boy, Theo, who is 2 weeks younger than Dav. Then our friend, Liz, came with her 2 kids and her pregnant belly to hang out. It was a little bit of a madhouse towards the end, but definitely worth it. I miss those girls. Good times in the dorms and beyond. It is fun to see how all of our lives have changed in the 7 years since we all lived in Taylor Hall.
We drove straight from Provo to YW and didn't make it home until after 8pm, so it was a long day for the boys and we are making up for it today with nice long naps. :) I had a great time on our Provo adventure and Weston is talking all about BYU today and wearing his new shirt. It was fun being back in Provo for a bit, but I have to be honest that I'm glad I've moved on.
Before we left for Provo we passed the morning in the fort that we built in the den. Weston was a big fan.
